I love the striations in these rocks, and the way they jut out. I'd always been told it was a combination of "marine snow" layers building up over millions of years, and chert/mudstone weathering at differing rates – then the tilt comes through California's characteristic tectonic folding. I remain "very much not a geologist", but it's still neat to see. #rocks #sigma
What all us casual users are thinking is: I hope this doesn't break my install!
NC did some minor update this past week, and as a consequence many of us lost the ability to use the photo app.
The fix was fairly simple, but it made me wonder if the NC developers performed bare-metal test installs, so they could the results the way non-developers would.
