@neauoire A Mistral stronger than expected unfurled the genoa this morning. It started flapping wildly in all directions, tore apart, and ripped off the radar and a spreader. On the phone, the marina had even told me that a shroud had snapped. I was kind of relieved to find out when I arrived that they had mistaken a shroud for the old lazy-jacks. Still, I lost a (worn) genoa, a (non-functional) radar and a spreader (the short one). This last thing is what concerns me more now cause the mast is bent the other way now.

WOAH, daaamn. That sucks. So the jib unfurled while the boat was unattended and it ripped itself off? Sucks that no one at the marina was there to fix it!! wtf

Just like AI, it looks impressive at first glance... then you start pushing the boundaries a bit and it comes crashing down.

I mean, it kind of always was. From the get go it was built on top of ML upscaling and, ultimately, what people call "AI" these days is the rebranding and continuation of this nonsense
