Wonach sollte in den Logs gesucht werden, um den Fehler einzukreisen? Bisher sind mir keine Meldungen aufgefallen, die auf einen Fehler hinweisen.

in reply to Matthias • • •Die folgenden Friendica Instanzen (bei denen es auch von Friendica zu Friendica nicht funktioniert) sind für Registrierungen offen: opensocial.at, libranet.de, loma.ml.
Vielleicht wäre es hilfreich sich von diesen Instanzen eine DM zu zusenden, um den Eingang auf der eigenen Instanz zu überprüfen.

Du wirst recht haben. Ich weiß nur nicht, wie uns diese Frage im konkreten Fall weiter hilft.
Bis zum RC war das kein Thema. Die DM aus Friendica wird sicher an andere Fediverse-Projekte verteilt. Die Absicht des Absenders, beim Versenden einer DM, ist ausreichend berücksichtigt und wird auf der Zielplattform korrekt dargestellt. Die babylonischen Wortverrenkungen (ob es nun DM oder Private Nachricht, etc.heißt) ist für die Nutzenden eher zweitrangig.

Rein optisch sah es für mich bisher so aus, als würden DM's als "private Erwähnungen" in Mastodon angezeigt, und begrenzte Nachrichten als "Benachrichtigungen".
So kann ich das anhand älterer Nachrichten zwischen Friendica und Mastodon reproduzieren.

The patch has helped on one instance. A DM is sent from Friendica <> Friendica. However, the DM is now listed as a private message under /network.
Mastodon still does not receive a message.
The patch was not successful for two further instances. No DM from Friendica<>Friendica and no message to Mastodon. No errors are displayed in the logs.

I am very confused. Private messages from Mastodon are now showing as normal messages under /network. Previously these messages were displayed as DM, which makes sense to have a point where I can track older conversations. This is now completely missing. All messages are lost in the general stream.
Ist das eine Umgehungslösung?
