YT (meaning Google tracking) I for one find distinctively sub optimal. Why not Vimeo or better peertube?

If I used YT ....
There is no need to use NextCloud (what I do for Privacy reasons) if you use YT that tracks your behaviour.

Adding my vote to the numerous voices asking for non-Google-hosted video content... as well as my perennial request that the "Nextcloud Social" app should be caught up to date for Nextcloud 28, and that you should "dogfood" it by using it for your Mastodon posts. Walk the decentralized, FOSS-first, federated walk!
