Somebody made a cover of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush in Early Middle English.

I saw that a few days ago, but despite my love for Kate Bush, my favorite remains Smells Like Teen Spirits in Latin.

Haven't seen too many middle/old English renditions, bravo! I usually bump into this kind of stuff...

Excellent bardcore stuff on the net ;)

Does this unresponsive YouTube card only happen to me or also to others?

Superb. It's actually the first time I've listened properly to that song, apart from hearing snippets as background noise.

That's amazing! I just wish they'd used a typeface for the EME that was a bit easier to read. The words aren't in the screen long enough for my brain to decipher every letter.

It's not quite Hildegard von Blingen but it's not bad.

This is what the internet was invented for 😂

I hope Kate sees this.

There's also the version of On Melancholy Hill in Middle Scots

somehow this is exactly what I wanted to hear on this beautiful, quiet (except for the cats purring) Sunday morning.

Also fascinating because one of my current #books is "The World Horde: Daily Life in Old English" by Hana Videen.

the literal translation of the word "bullet" from that song would be quite interesting!

@OldAintDead that is beautiful! And what a lot of work went into it. Love it!
