Got the background done, although I'm not 100% sold on what's on the screens. Also, thanks to @peron for a couple of those bits of line art.
Next on the to-do: character/terminal art for a few more characters. And yes, I think I need to get Milia in there, even though she's not a bridge operator.

It's the lack of outlines on the pedestal, the terminal case has a dark outline, and since the green pedestal doesn't, it makes it look like the pedestal is further away than the terminal. If adding an outline is out of the question, making the pedestal blue, like the rest of the consoles might work too(it might flatten the image tho).
The terminal has floating trapeze shape just above the numpad, is that a layer artifact?

in reply to Devine Lu Linvega • • •@neauoire Ah, I'm glad you brought this up, because it was a deliberate choice.
Initially, the pedestal had line art (see the attached image) but I was concerned that it was taking focus away from the terminal. So, I gave it the same painted treatment as the background to try to make it look more like a background element. But maybe it doesn't work!
If anyone else wants to chime-in on this, please do!
