I’ve been using the “memories” app on Nextcloud, and honestly in my opinion it is superior in every way. I have a very large library of photos, and the default photos app isn’t useful at all as it’d take me hours to even get to the end/bottom of the library, etc. I think (again in my opinion) the devs should roll memories into the default install and make it the standard photo option. It gives it an experience nearly equal to Google photos.

Couldn't you team up with Mylio? It's the most powerful & privacy-friendly DAM and I would love to make it work with my Nextcloud! Although it is not FOSS...
