What does that mean in practice though in terms of something that can become a system used by the masses?

Yes, how do we make single tenant micro-hosting form of decentralization safe, secure, and appified to the point that your average person can use it as ubiquitously as they do Web 2 tech. That's the marketing message of Web 3 but built on a horrible tech stack.

web 1.0 goal: create startup; make a billion dollars
web 2.0 goal: create startup; make a billion dollars
web3 goal: create startup; make a billion dollars

web0 goal: “how do we make single tenant micro-hosting form of decentralization safe, secure, and appified to the point that your average person can use it as ubiquitously as they do Web 2 tech.”
