@itsfoss, I love flatpak but has its own limitations. Nothing wrong in using snap for certain applications that are unavailable in flathub.

When will they learn. No one wants snaps anymore. Flatpak is the way going forward.

Ubuntu always seems to have some bespoke grift or other going on which makes it hard to recommend to people. Despite having a few rough edges in terms of UI polish, Debian is really a better choice.

I uninstalled snap and never missed it. Will switch to debian once LTS support runs out.

for my brother I chose the first option. Before I even gave him his Kubuntu install I removed snaps and added flatpaks. Although the default source are still deb because he doesn't want frequent updates.
