Flatpak? Luxtorwhat? Oh look it doesn't mention option 3: download the linux build and unpack it somewhere.

@unelsson Absolutely, although knowing Debian, "stable" probably just got release 0.1 and "testing" is probably a version behind and about to be abandoned, so you use a third party repo that totally rules for about 8 months then stops getting updates but you don't notice until you start reporting bugs and see they're already closed and in release.

@tekhedd Debian stable doesn't seem to have openmw, but unstable has 0.48, which is fine. For more bleeding edge it's git clone -> cmake -> make.
in reply to Nelsson Huotari

@unelsson @tekhedd no one on SteamOS is going to be git cloning and using make to build stuff, the guide is plain and simply to give options that work basically everywhere
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

@unelsson So, you can't unpack a tar file on steam OS? Sorry I'm more of a vanilla Linux user, guess I'll find out when I start transitioning from Windows.
