it's the beginning of the dark ages where valuable information is just washed away and the left over tech becomes a Bible or something.

Like the washing away of so many philosophers and mathematicians works and reusing the now blank paper to print Bible hymns on.

that's what worries me, how much data is actually being lost, as opposed to just removed from public view.
