DID YOU KNOW? The name Red Hat originated from a Cornell lacrosse cap worn by co-founder Marc Ewing, who became known in his college computer lab as the helpful “guy in the red hat.” Ewing later partnered with Bob Young, a computer supply entrepreneur, to incorporate the company and bring his Linux distribution to a global audience. There is a picture of Marc and Bob standing side-by-side donning red hats in some rad af anime pose on the right.
