Since Reddit has now sold out to AI, a reminder if you're into #Linux / #LinuxGaming that Lemmy exists and it's open source.

I'm a mod here too: https://lemmy.ml/c/linux_gaming@lemmy.ml

Honestly, the only AI i like are the AI-Controlled Players in Mulyiplayer games, they matter, a lot

What's bad about this?

The only value I've ever gotten from Reddit is as a good support group for a disease I have. Will this threaten that, or some other aspect of Reddit?

I think I'd prefer this over ad industry funding, but what else am I missing?

I haven't been back to Reddit since the API apocalypse last summer. The only exceptions have been when Reddit is the only result in a search. Why are people still contributing content to that dumpster fire? I wish Lemmy results started showing in Google searches more frequently.

OMG, I didn't know it before I see your toot, thanks for the tip. Honestly I never used reddit because I find it cumbersome, weird, not practical to use and still don't get the purpose of it compared to good old forums powered py PHPBB and alternatives.

But maybe I'll try Lemmy if I find it interesting to use.
