I continue to be flummoxed by stuff like this. I'm on Mastodon Social. @Aviation_Librarian is on Mastodon Online. Both are operated by Mastodon gGmbH (basically, @Gargron). Why in the heck do I now need to click through to see more replies on Mastodon Online? What am I being protected from, especially since Eugen runs both shows? #SMH
At the bottom of a standard toot by Aviation Librarian, the following is written. "Replies from other servers may be missing." Then, a clickable link states, "See more replies on mastodon.online."

@Aviation_Librarian In this case you're not being protected from anything, this message is always there on threads from other servers because there are edge cases where for technical reasons the original server has more information about replies than yours.
