There are plenty of foss keyboard apps out there, but most of them does not offer options available in the not-foss ones. For me being foss is not so very much important than the functionality of the app. That's why I choosed to use the modded version of SwiftKey, where all the microsoft junk is removed from. No tracking, no ai bullshit, no sending any data home etc. Works pretty good together with the words prediction, spelling correction, and dictionaries as well.

I am using HeliBoard (https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoard) which is a fork of Open board. It have many features, like word suggestions, glide support, autocorrect, automatic or manual learning of new words, auto capitalization, FOSS, and a lot more !). Not yet in F-Droid, but releases are on GitHub and IzzyOnDroid.

Unfortunately, not having swipe typing is a deal breaker for me as it allows to write fast in a comfortable way.
