I have never felt as sad as that ...fish(?)... looks when I have bulldozed pre-nstalled MS Windows on a laptop. My first laptop that came with MS Windows 10, I kept Windows around just long enough to make a re-install flash, and then whomp. Not a crumb of sadness. Joy, really.
Linux users should honestly look further for preinstalled Linux machines. Sure, you might flash your own distro on it anyway. But we should financially support manufacturers who care about compatibility rather than throwing money on the ones who make strict deals with Microsoft.

On a desktop it’s 99% of the time for those pesky games that can’t run through Wine/Proton…
