The Steam Hardware & Software Survey is out for October 2024, and the Linux user share has gone back up again to exactly 2%.

I don't understand why chinese Steam users use Windows so much.

I think if I were the Chinese government or a chinese person, using and supporting Linux would be much better than using some closed, obscure operating system from a private US company.

I don't understand why they have such overwhelming adoption of Windows, specially in that country specifically.

Consider showing individual regressions on the time frames before and after the Steam Deck's release, because I'm pretty sure they have very different slopes.
