Often when we discuss Solarpunk, particularly as an aesthetic, we tend to focus on lush, green forests and fields. As somebody who grew up in either swampland or desert/Chaparral regions, I tend to view the former vision as a bit...narrow. To me, the powerful vision of Solarpunk is one in which we are united with the diverse Eco-systems of our planet, which can include regions not traditionally thought of or considered.

I've kinda felt the same, having grown up in Illinois. It would be nice to have a solarpunk aesthetic that shows a restoration of the now significantly diminished prairies, and perhaps savannahs

@ch0ccyra1n At the end of the day, it's all about creating and imagining realities that align with our local ecology! As well as the planet as a whole. The "Solar" in Solarpunk often gets confused to mean specifically Solar-powered, when it's really more meant to emphasize an organic, holistic approach. "Solar" here is meant to emphasize that organic component and "punk" the rejection of the established order, particularly in regards to our biosphere.
