They prefer to complain about #MS365 instead of offering solutions like #Nextcloud for all schools.

Luckily that is not entirely true, the German federal government actually has bought Nextcloud - and could deploy it even more widely if they wanted to, also in schools. And some states already do! Also many hundreds of individual schools already use Nextcloud.
Sadly, yes, this isn't as well known as it should be.
