why not? It's pulled in most of the non-kernel OS runtimes, might as well control distribution of them as well. Maybe it'll give other d'Ístria reason to reconsider dependency on it.

Oh no, not another Linux distro 😒 Don't get me wrong, I love Linux. But the fragmentation of distros, themes and desktop environments is a serious issue. If you want an immutable distro there are already several solid choices out there.
