In the ongoing crazy saga of the internet getting gated behind new age verification laws, Discord are putting on the brakes temporarily.

Looks like I won't have to cancel my Nitro subscription just yet then, (because if I'm flagged as a child, children shouldn't have credit cards, right?!).

I'm still keeping my eye out for a good alternative though. Thus far I've looked at XMPP, Mumble, Matrix, and even TeamSpeak; but none of them offer all of text, audio, and video. (Matrix claims to support all of them, but getting anything beyond basic text was an absolute nightmare of dependency hell.)

I may look at Fluxxer next.
