Developers putting their software's stuff in ~/.<app-name> instead of the intended directory. I know that there are ways to fix this tho, but haven't looked into that yet.
Hmm, maybe that still many manufacturers don't take the platform seriously and only offer their products for Windows and macOS? Or maybe fragmentation, e.g. with packages (Flatpak, Snaps, distributions, etc.)?
"Home users" are usually at a loss when Linux problems occurs. As long as one needs the shell for troubleshooting, it remains a system for "specialists". Even "experts" struggle with difficult Linux problems.
I'm trying. I'm really trying. ...uuuummmmm.... I'm not a fan of systemd, and I'm not a fan of Canonical's "snaps". I don't like what RedHat did to CentOS. I kinda feel like that's about it.
Fighting wars about things like which packaging format or init system is the best and why some others should burn in hell. Try to explain these sh*tstorms to a non-tech person.
Networking, especially wifi. This is not exactly a kernel issue, but the difficulty of establishing simple network connections with base level GNU Linux setup has always irked me. And it also means that, when something goes wrong in you network setup at higher levels, there is no simple working fallback. Average users need wifi, especially when trying to fix a borked system.

"Fragmentation".
Too many distributions.
We need to merge most of these communities in order to:
1. To present a clear and simple project
2. To provide services (training, maintenance...)
Just my opinion 😀

Every single time there's an issue on Linux it's always their fault.

Such as "waooh look, a new kernel release". (or distro, or whatever) just to grab easy clics.
It leaves a bad impression for non Linux users of moving target fragmentation nightmare.
Totally missing the point that : these are just neither issues nor news nor matter of concern for any end-user.
