Well that's certainly one way to describe it. Whisker Squadron: Survivor is styled very much like the classic rail shooter Starfox but sprinkles in some elements popularised by Vampire Survivors.

just played the demo, fantastic stuff!

Also, giving credit where credit is due:

Screenshot of a google survey displayed on a Steam Deck. The survey asks "Where did you hear about Whisker Squadron: Survivor?" and the "other" option has been selected. The user filled in "https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux"

Also the battery percentage of the Steam Deck is 69%. Nice.
