Riot Games talk Vanguard anti-cheat for League of Legends and why it's a no for Linux
While previously you've been able to play League of Legends on Linux, and there's some pretty die-hard fans using Wine to play it, that's set to end soon with Vanguard being introduced.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)

That โanti-cheatโ basically has permanent admin privileges and is executed automatically in the OSโ background, even when Valorant isnโt running (the process can be killed but youโd need to RESTART your pc to play Valorant afterwardsโฆ).
Itโs either sending private data straight to Tencentโs servers or a critical security vulnerability in your system (likely both).
