A comic from 2022. I want to make a distinction between the Democrats who are speaking out forcefully against authoritarianism and those whose overcautious approach enabled the extremist takeover of our institutions. This is about the dangers of unaccountability and kicking the can down the road. As recent elections demonstrate, voting is still extremely important.

MEMBERS OF CONGRESS SUPPORT INSURRECTION, REFUSE TO CONFIRM BIDEN'S ELECTION CONSEQUENCES? THAT WOULD MAKE TOO MANY PEOPLE ANGRY. ELECTIONS SABOTAGED, NATION BECOMES ONE-PARTY AUTOCRACY I'M SURE WE'LL VOTE OUR WAY OUT OF THIS SOMEHOW!

As a side note: I would suggest that—specifically when the Democrats don't hold power in any branch of the government—it is the voters, and their ability to peacefully express their will in a regular & overwhelming manner in the streets nationwide, who are the source of underutilized power. No Kings is barely scratching the surface IMO.

This kind of cynicism doesn't solve anything, and never can. It's corrosive and infectious, and promotes an atmosphere of despair. There's nothing positive about this. It just tells us, "There's no hope; give up." Where is the hopeful contrast implied in the leading text?

I'm sure you mean better, but this just ruined my day. Maybe I'm just the wrong audience. I find your work depressing, and can't follow any more, I'm sorry.
