I don't know if this will resonate with anyone as well as it does with me, but I really like the contrast of the relatively bright sky with the dark foreground. It feels slightly surreal. Brussels.

it is akin to waking up this morning just at sunrise where it's bright outside the bedroom window and somehow still immensely dark in the bedroom itself

A photo of Brussels with no clouds in the sky feels, by itself, increasingly surreal. (What a winter.)
Great shot BTW. I love the tiny plumes of smoke that are just conspicuous enough to denote cold air and winter.
How come you haven't joined @glass yet?
in reply to Francois Heinderyckx

@fheinderyckx @glass Because it's not federated! I do not see the point in joining social media platforms where my profile cannot be followed from anywhere else. I think Mastodon is very well suited for posting photography and for everything else I have my portfolio website.

@glass
My question was slightly provocative, I admit. I find Glass interesting as an initiative trying to learn from the pitfalls of mainstream social media. They're going step-by-step, and who knows, a future step might, one day, be in the direction of federation (though the choice of opting for a fee-based model might make Glass unreconcilable with a federated approach).
