What if I'm using curl? This seems like it requires client-side JavaScript, which means there's literally no way to pass the test from a text-based web browser like lynx.

Bots were able to do most of what they used for captchas (the button thing) anyway. The other type of captcha has been getting really bad lately anyway. Companies are using us to try to help train their LLMs, but the problem is that we have no way of knowing which thing that vaguely resembles what it wants us to click on it requires us to click and which ones it doesn't. (Which defeats the whole purpose anyway.)
