The effect of the sharp focus at the center vs the blur towards the edges has a cool way of drawing the eye back to the subject. Is that a chromatic aberration that's in every shot from this lens?

@annika Yes, it’s a defect of the lens, probably exaggerated by the large aperture.

Beautiful area! Any chance you’ll be going to Castlerigg or any other ancient sites?

@grb090423 Feel free to toss her another compliment, I also love the photo and your wife’s skirt!

out of interest, how do you get your photos developed (seemingly) so fast - do you have a portable darkroom, film scanner?
in reply to Andy Piper

@andypiper I find a local lab and if they have same day rush I pay extra for it.

Momentarily mistook this for a painting. Thought it was a metaphor, but maybe I've watched Steve Coogan in The Trip one too many times. Great image.

One of my favorite classic lenses. I use it quite often on my Fuji cameras, the first shot from 2021 with my old X-S10 and the second from last fall with my X-H2s. Great swirl bokeh.

your speed in developing and scanning whilst still on holiday is impressive. Are you the man in this photo?

Looks great! The color looks more vibrant to me than your previous shots.

Looks like a still from one of those "1000 ways to die" videos.
