Is the kernel open source? I don't think so ... or they mean your data is "open" to Microsoft and their advertising company partners etc.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Yeah... corporate keynotes. I forget the verbiage they used, but a few years ago they basically said Windows kicked off the internet revolution in the 90's, coming just short of saying they invented it.

open to malware clearly. Not sure one would like to win this contest, though.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I don't know if this is still true, but there was a time when the presence of a single externally accessible Windows machine on your network was enough to fail even the slackest of security reviews. "Open" indeed.

I mean, they're definitely going to put all your documents out in the open with Recall...

Guess a part of the presentation title is missing:
"for attackers"

they're right, it's very open, a huge open gaping hole to pass all your information straight to them 🙃
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I noticed big tech keep trying to take the word “open” the meaning is blurry now

It's the most open for Microsoft to harvest absolutely everything about you without your knowledge then funnel it into their AI for private profits.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I'm pretty sure "the most open operating system" that is Windows-compatible would be ReactOS
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

open in terms of telling all about the user to the maker I would say they got a point
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

"Open" in that you can read your CEO's emails, not as in the OS itself is open.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Ahahahahaha, oh wait, Are you serious? Let me laugh even louder HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

"The most Open Browser", AS IF IT WAS TRUE, FUCK OFF 😂

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I saw the headline and looked at the calendar.
No, it's not April 1st 😩

Have they no shame?

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Welllll....Most open to taking your information and giving it to people who hate you....
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

It's true if by open they mean they share all of your data with everyone else for profit. In that case, they are super open.

David what the fuck are you doing. DWIZZZLE? Seriously? In the company profile? Dude you are a 30 or 40 year old, grown ass man.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

As an avid Windows user I can only say: Holy shit. That's some gaslighting level marketing right there.

Encore un nouveau standupper ?: je ne l'ai pas reconnu celui-ci...

Il a l'air très drôle ^^

Did I miss the moment Microsoft released the Source code of its current OS?

Or ... Did they mean "Most open closed source operating system"?

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

The most open (as in openly exploitable, and openly surveilled) operating system

Fixed it

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Tats a joke, is it?

I know Apple has the same once and claimed to be the first dooing open source, but they quickly deleted it. 😅🙃

MICROS~1 will now rename the Windows EULA "Microsoft Copyleft License", so that they can also say Windows is under a "copyleft" license.

No idea if they have to license that license gambit from the Llama Group, it's possible Llama have patented it following their "open-sourcing" of WinAmp.
