I dropped Twitter a year ago. Now, if something isn't on the Fediverse or an open website that can be read without logging in, I don't even bother. If that news is so important, it'll get here anyway.

My Twitter's been gone since it was still called Twitter. Which I will continue to call it, as X is still a stupid name.

Quitting Twitter was a New Year's resolution for 2025, but I wound up deleting it on December 2, 2024. I'd rarely used it since MuSSk bought it, except to fact check: "Did he really tweet that?!?!"

Yeah, he really did. Ugh. Didn't want to be there anymore.

I was using Twitter since 2006. It was a very cool place back then -- full of nice people, CSS designers, etc. I have gradually stopped using it during the past couple of years. My browser still remembers the login but I am just not opening it. It feels good. (But I do miss some people from Twitter.)

That's another thing that I got fed up and quit, I did that when Musk bought it, one of my best decisions.
