I wanted to love "Beautyland" by Marie-Helene Bertino - a neurodiverse protagonist who loves science(!) - but it didn't quite live up to my expectations.

But now I'm 11 chapters into "Circe" by Madeline Miller, which has been a wonderful journey so far. Miller knows her Classics! Highly recommend 📚 #books

There's been a mini trend of "classics retold from [some female character]'s perspective". I've read a few and this is best I've read. Her prose lives up to its promise. Have you read Margaret Atwood's Penelopiad?
