Since Canonical uses SNAP i don't use Ubuntu or an Ubuntubased Linux. Its the wrong way in my opinion.

the only thing I like about Snaps is that the syntax for working with them via the terminal is better than flatpacks. But even that isn't worth it for me.

Easy to dunk on snaps, but scammers tend to go with what is popular. Linux desktops have generally gotten away without having to worry about this sort of thing, but maybe Ubuntu in particular has hit critical mass. :blobsweats:

This is actually pretty bad for snaps. The whole point of a centralized app publisher is to prevent issues like this.
