They can't just throw a guy under the bus and call it a day on a Friday afternoon. There is a lot of conversations that need to happen internally. I'd prefer it if they said something like "oopsie, this should never have happened", sure. But the goal here seems to precisely communicate that those conversations are going to happen next week.
Let's wait and see what does come out of them
