During U.S. cold snaps, I often see posts on social media mocking #ClimateChange & this #comic always comes to mind.

Climate change is about “miniscule” changes to the average temperature. Which as such is bad enough. And with enough grade celsius more, it can get too hot for us, for sure.

And mostly more extreme weather patterns, which is a problem, because our infrastructure is designed only for certain patterns. Thus, as some architects/builders in my timeline days ago commented, the former “test for the once a century disaster” become the new normal.

Climate change is not a myth.
However, we are not being told the full story.
Look at the effects of #nuclear #waste look at the number of nuclear weapons test done each year.
Look at the effect nuclear actually has on the climate and our home planet.
But of course, telling the truth you will then be labeled as "Anti-Nuclear" - a crime against the industry

I would try to explain to such people that the fact that they are experiencing record cold AT THE SAME TIME as we are seeing a record high global average temperature means other places are seeing even more extreme record heat. But it won’t convince anybody who wasn’t already convinced, so never mind.

These cold blasts are just what you'd get if a fire melted the door to the walk-in freezer. They're not an argument against climate change, but a dire warning.

I guarantee it is only a few years before every Red State will be looking for some huge hand out to combat climate change. I think Florida wanting trillions of dollars to build sea defenses will be among the first.
