This week's comic: The things Mike Johnson has said are so over the top that I thought I might place him in the role of my flaming conservative character (hence the flames, in case anyone was wondering about that). It’s almost impossible to exaggerate this man’s theocratic worldview, so I tried to use actual quotes where I could.

Was just getting ready to write something similar! I refer to them now as “extremists” and “far-right extremists” — he would be in the latter category. Fire-breathing far-right extremist, as you draw him!🔥 There are still many conservative republicans (Liz Cheney) who defend our constitution and rule of law. It’s important to not group (and cloak!) the destroyers under the same term. A conservative is a respected, acceptable position. Destroying is not conserving.

Yes, please do. We need to frame what’s happening now as clearly and accurately as possible! These groups aren’t called “dark” for nothing! They’ve been able to operate in stealth for years. They don’t want the public in general to catch on. (I’m a big fan of your work, and humbly offer this opinion.😊)
