Made me updating my system every day and being anxious when no new updates available.

Working Updates, Working Network Connections, Working remote connectivity, and a rabbit hole full of Things that want to be Explored. And hence, plenty of nights with Not that much sleep...

I learned that computers just work and that updates don't need years to finish while you can't do anything.
Besides: Uptime is several months and the device is still working

after i installed Linux in 2020 on the laptop that i had i felt like it's another laptop not mine that i bought with win 10 inside and felt it's totally new laptop and as Linux is working the laptop will use all its power
And i felt that i really control it and free not like with windows 10 i felt all time was watched
The distribution i installed to replace windows with it
was Mx Linux
Linux made me discover programing and coding

it's gotten so boring it's almost not believable. all the time i needed before to figure out stuff, now everything works as i want and it's quick and so reliable. if i would work with linux i would be done with my daily tasks by 10 in the morning...

No longer need to open up Task manager to look at Memory usage periodically, and manually closing useless background apps/services just to save memory.

my computing is miore secure, private and faster.
Also do i have more performance in some games.

unfortunately for me its mostly me thinking "I wonder what it would take to get this to work (on a linux computer)" while I launch proprietary software on my work issued windows computer, or at home "Gee, this feels linux-like" when I turn on my macbook for personal or some school stuff. My wife and I enjoy all our apple products working together (she has no interest in converting), and its just easier for me now to play by the corporate rules. My Octopi server is doing well, though.

I'm excited to use my computer again. like how i was with my first mac.

No distractions.
