I spent some time last year cataloging my late parents' books (LibraryThing) with plans to give away, sell, or donate those my brother and I aren't interested in reading.

The cataloging part went fine, but...

I went to a book swap Wednesday and donated two books, the maximum allowed.

I took home four books.

Sigh!

Moranaga's axiom: The ideal number of books at any given time is always n + 1.

That would be me too. Here is the small wall of my never-stops-growing-library-because-I-can-always-find-room-for-more library

My pile of shame is sooo big. I hate it. But yes, books are great... *crying in otter*

@Sheril. So true. Reminds me, I need to go buy Feh: A Memoir by Shalom Auslander. I heard him being interviewed the other day and the book sounds great.
