I wonder how much Microsoft pays companies to not offer Linux. Almost every piece of software I run now runs in a browser or can be run in a browser. So for 99% of people compatibility is not a problem.
You say that but I am really missing the small things like a clipboard for whatever you copied or the limited functionality of the Nautilus file explorer
Linux can be a pain, but it always works. Windows is a bit annoying, and but it usually works. MacOS..... wtf? It's like they made windows run on Linux, then crippled linux then took any power from Windows and reduced it to like play-school levels, where if you want to do anything remotely technical, you need to drop into the command line..... and even then, your changes may get "fixed" by the magical MacOS.
So.... for me, the most awful system I've ever used, since windows 3.1 is any version of MacOS.
I tried. I really really tried. For 3 months I worked exclusively on a macbook pro that cost me like $2400. I finally just gave it to my kids and bought another lenovo.
I ditched Windows in 1998. Got a job where I never saw a Windows machine for 10 years. Current job is Windows mostly. Mondays are such a huge adjustment. I spend the weekend with software that "works right", then have to reset (and make lots of mistakes) on Monday...
