system configurations

Having most everything just be a text file makes alterations much quicker to make and easy to identify. Not to mention having most every application be managed through a package manager means not having to fidget with registry keys and orphan files nearly as frequently

being able to tell my hardware what I want and I get it. I could not reproduce it on Windows and if so it was painful, here it's painless.

I like to do stuff. Various kinds of stuff. But you know what the best part is? Even when an update comes, my machine doesn't reboot itself, the app doesn't crash. It just works. Just restart when I want to.
I don't have to deal with bollocks, I don't have to search for obscure trouble codes on microsoft forums where they only have manual for two things anyway.

Feeling superior to luddites that use Windows and MacOS because they don't really know how their computers work.

Kind of like a chef looking down on people who can't cook.

Yeah I know, I'm a terrible person 😅
