Really impressed with #THEFINALS now it works on Linux / Steam Deck.

Won my first solo game. So much fun with the destruction!

THE FINALS big 1.5.0 update out with new mode - continues working on Linux / Steam Deck

I recently reported on THE FINALS now working on Steam Deck and Desktop Linux, and it seems even with the latest major update just released with version 1.5.0 bringing a new game mode it continues working.

unfortunately on newer CPUs like AMD Ryzen 7th series that support the AVX-512 instructions, the game crashes upon launch.
The current workaround is to add clearcpuid=304 or clearcpuid=avx512f to the kernel params, which will remove this instructions support and slightly decrease the overall CPU performance. Source: protondb.com It seems that the game has memory issues when using the AVX-512 support.

unfortunately doesn't work on CPUs with AVX512 support enabled, unless you deactivate the support in kernel parameters.
