gaming and Microsoft Excel (tried libreoffice, thanks but no thanks)

one thing I'm always challenged with is:
The "one click remote desktop" experience in Windows with remote-fx vs possible is anything but depends and unstable.
Sunshine is my solution for physical machines, but vms are a challenge really.

In Linux features are all similar or better than on windows. The only reason for me to have a windows os available is Microsoft Excel and some dumb governmental apps running only on windows.

I hate to admit I miss anything, but: simple ALT codes. With KDE, I think I need to hold 3 or 4 keys to bring up a menu, then enter (for example) a letter, then select from a list of characters.

BUT that's a very small price to pay for all the good I gained and bad I lost by making the switch.

gaming ... i tried several distributions, but could not make it work. Gaming is the only thing I do on windows.

it would be nice to see gaming support for games with windows kernel level anti cheat, however this is not a big issue for me. Besides this I so not miss a damn thing! Never going back to Microsoft again

@johndoe That would be nice to have, but not sure if Linus would like that idea.

yeah, not saying it is a good idea. Just look at the Crowdstrike incident

The file arborescence on Linux is tedious compared to Windows, you never know where to look for things unless you look into documentations...

the one thing I miss is good PDF editor like adobe DC. I have explored GIMP but photoshop has got more polished experience with tools. I’m hopeful things will improve

Microsoft Office. LibreOffice is not a perfect replacement for me.

Compatibility. But Microsoft, Adobe and others kill it in purpose.

... the time during the reboot after an error because I always went for coffee then ...

@itsfoss. Only thing , printer drivers are not being developed as normal course of manufacturers release. I end up converting to pdf , then move to wifes laptop to brint

Only MS Office. (only)
I use the Google suite of tools on Linux and I find them lacking.
