Funko issue a statement about the itch.io take-down, while also apparently calling itch founder's mom

Recently I wrote about how the much loved itch.io store got taken down by Funko (as in Funko Pop figures). The situation seems thankfully sorted with itch back up, but things got a little weird.

something this happened to me about a decade ago involving Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, their newborn and my writing about the DMCA and fair use. some dick at Getty Images blackholed my site because i republished a portion of an image that was available all over the world but USA.

i had to get lawyers involved to get my domain and server back up but i feel this situation with Funko is more bananas.

Of course, when a domain is actually being used for fraud and phishing, it’s almost impossible to get the registrar to do anything.
