$599 for the 4070? Hard pass. It's insane what they think is reasonable mid-tier pricing. My six year old card will just have to keep chugging for another few years.

I don't get why these cars are so popular in general, and more specifically in the Linux scene.

Generally speaking, Nvidia has been caught red handed, multiple times fleecing their customers. Why would people continue to give them money?

For Linux users specifically, Nvidia has shown their contempt for Linux users by refusing to play nice with the Linux kernel.

I get that they're the king of the ring for performance right now. But AMD cards are plenty powerful, as well.
