Valve appear to be testing ARM64 and Android support for Steam on Linux

Valve appear to have some pretty ambitious future plans for Steam, as we've seen recently a leak (and not for the first time) that Valve has plans for ARM64 and Android support on Linux.

steam deck 2 being an arm based device would make a lot of sense to me at least. Many people have been wishing for a better battery life when gaming on the go and this could be it. Although the question remains, how much will x86 to arm translation eat power 🤔

woah. Hopefully this means I could get an Apple silicon laptop with @AsahiLinux and play x86 games straight from Steam as easily as it is now on an x86 CPU!
