My AMD A6-5400k (2012) and 512k-GPU is still running Fedora like a champ. More bicycle than rally car but it gets the job done.

#Alt4You:

A video of a sports car, labelled "my 10 year old PC", racing along a sandy road with a cliff on one side.
It drives off the edge with one wheel and begins to drop, only to stongly bounce upwards as the front hits the cliff face (video game physics?), tumbles through the air, yet somehow lands safely and drives off.
Cut to the interior of a car, with two cats in it, the driver cat is labelled "SSD", the other one "Linux" (wearing sunglasses).
There is a "It's FOSS" watermark.

Ran a print/scanner server off an old EMachines T6000 using Puppy Linux for a few years. The hardware eventually pooped out. Fun Times!

Love it!

My IT guy let me be on my 11 y/o Linux PC at work instead of new Windows machines because I could get Zoom working during the pandemic (yeah not FOSS, not gonna win them all) and didn't take 10 minutes to reboot.

Choosing the best internal SSD for your needs can be a daunting task. In case of data loss or drive failure, recovering data from an SSD can be much more challenging than an HDD.

10 years ago was 2015. Mid to high end PCs and laptops had SATA SSDs by default before that.
