While in Mareeba, we bought fancy Gin. It's Ooray (otherwise known as Davidson Plum) Gin.

I didn't buy a bottle because I didn't want to cart it all the way to whereever I ended up. Figured I'd pick one up on the way back and ... well ... *waves arms vaguely* y'know.
Quandong Gin starts with the zesty sweetness of ripe citrus and finishes with the herbal notes true to the native peach. 2021 Bronze award.
by the description, I'd say Desert Quandong (it's the variety that is more fruity, the Blue one has very little fruit, and a large seed).
Desert Quandongs are meant to be very tasty indeed.
Well in case you also want Ooray, it comes from the Mount Uncle Distillery.
