Targem Games just announced their racing game BlazeRush is getting a big upgrade for the tenth anniversary but they're going to sunset their Linux, macOS and SteamVR support.

why on earth would they prevent Linux users from downloading it? A lpt of the times running games with #proton works even better than the nativr version (point and case: #lastepoch)

This is normal. If Proton allows the developer to focus on maintaining a single version that works well in several operative systems, why disperse efforts in several half maintained versions.

I don't know about this particular game, but I have more than once forced the Proton version over the native one, because it worked better.
