valheim has shown that you can make sophisticated looking scenes by adding lighting and effects to low-res graphical environments. Openmw potentially could make something far prettier than the source material!

OpenMW is incredible. The team have done some amazing work to preserve and improve this classic. Imagine 20 years from now when OpenSkyrim is announced.
