There are ~76 critically endangered Javan rhinoceros left on Earth & they all live in Ujung Kulon National Park in Indonesia. rhinos.org/about-rhinos/rhino-… #nature

The species was nearly wiped out because so many people believed that their horns were magical. Such a ridiculous reason to disappear.

selling magical rhino horns, tiger penises, and shark fins to the gullible and superstitious sounds like the ancient version of selling "trickle down economics", blame mongering, and QAnon conspiracies to modern Americans.

I've said this before. Each time I see a pic like this. I wished humanity could teach wildlife to shoot back at jerks like the ones aiming to slaughter this beautiful animal. In this case could the rhino at least gore the shooter?
