Advocate for FLOSS software when appropriate situations arise, especially with family, friends.
Monetary donations would also be good, but I feel like it is difficult unless you pick one or two big projects to donate to. (Projects like KDE or LibreOffice, for example.)
With smaller projects, some programmers have Patreon accounts, but their project may not. But then, which of the 10 programmers working on that project do I donate to?
1. Donate money to these FOSS organizations. 2. Give feedback on the software and let the programmers know of any bugs or possible improvements they could make.
We need tutorials to do simple things. 1. How to draw a line in InkScape 2. How to add numbers in LO Spreadsheet 3. How make presentations 4. How to make an index table in LO Writer 5. How to organize my photo album 6. Consider an accountant migrate to Linux. Not a poweruser but an average Joe and make some short 60-second tutorials to show simple day-to-day activities.
How can programmers? I can develop in many languages, but canât just say âhey ill contribute to this projectâ without knowing its structure and how to develop a specific software.
